Job summary

RTX is seeking a Director of Test Calibration and Equipment Maintenance in the US to lead calibration and maintenance across the Sensors Portfolio. You will manage a diverse team, develop calibration standards, and drive efficiency while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role reports to the VP of Sensor Operations and requires extensive experience in manufacturing, test equipment calibration, and leadership.

Qualifications

Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 14 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 12 years’ experience.
Experience in Manufacturing, Test Equipment Calibration, Maintenance, Engineering, and/or Operations.
Knowledge of government/defense standards (MIL-STD, FAR/DFAR).

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the overall strategy for test equipment calibration and maintenance across the Sensors Portfolio.
Develop and implement policies to ensure ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance planning and execution.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to align equipment performance with program requirements.
Drive innovation in calibration processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
Manage budgets and resources for calibration labs and activities.
Develop and mentor technicians, engineers and managers.
Ensure compliance with EH&S regulations in calibration operations.
Provide regular updates to leadership on readiness and metrics.
