Job summary

Irvine Company Office Properties in Irvine, CA seeks a Director of Construction Services to oversee tenant improvements, capital upgrades, and reinvestment projects within the OC portfolio. Manage $30M-$50M in annual construction, directing budgeting, estimating, bidding, contracting and scheduling to achieve financial and strategic objectives.

You will lead project teams across architects, engineers and general contractors, ensuring SOP adherence, resource planning, and effective communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Ten to fifteen year work experience in commercial office tenant improvement construction and/or design including supervisory experience.
• Excellent people skills and strong internal/external relationship building.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with diplomacy.
• Proficient knowledge of financial aspects related to TI and capital improvement construction.

Responsibilities

• Contract with portfolio architects, engineers, consultants and general contractors.
• Provide project direction, conduct meetings, and ensure schedule progress with site visits.
• Manage Irvine Company Flex suite projects and coordinate with planning/design review teams.
• Assist leadership with recruiting and pre-qualifying contractors and consultants.
• Train, mentor and coach department personnel.
• Manage project closeout and as-built documentation.
• Provide cost/constructability input to leasing and management teams.
• Lead the most challenging projects as needed.
