Sometimes it’s foundational. But every project earns trust – and earns us the right to take on more. You’ll get the kind of access, challenge, and growth found at big firms – while helping build a company that’s scaling fast and guided by what we value. If you’re looking for meaning, momentum, and a seat at the table, you’re in the right place.

The Director of Technology Enablement is a key leader in our Denver office and across our firm, responsible for building, scaling, and delivering technology-enabled solutions for clients. This role blends technology strategy, transformations, architecture, applications, interfaces, and execution leadership to position Pioneer as a trusted advisor in technology-enabled business transformation. Joining Pioneer means shaping not just client outcomes, but also the future of our firm.

Ideal candidates will have a Consulting Mindset and a Builder’s Spirit:
Consulting Mindset: You love translating business needs into technical solutions. You lead with an emphasis on clear communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving. You are unrelenting in pursuit of client delivery satisfaction.
Builder’s Spirit: You enjoy creating — not just maintaining — and thrive in fast-paced environments where curiosity, experimentation, and collaboration are key. You see sales pursuits as a creative endeavor where you get excited about bringing the best immediate and long-term solutions to business leaders. You are quick to create tangible value and hungry to earn the right to serve clients in expanding roles on the foundation of high trust and high value solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the successful delivery of Pioneer’s technology engagements, applying modern solutions to solve complex client challenges. Projects may include:
    • Leading large-scale technology project execution with emphasis on portfolio/program leadership, governance, and delivery excellence.
    • Developing and executing strategic technology roadmaps that support business growth, digital transformation, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide executive leadership, strategic direction, and portfolio accountability for client enterprise applications and business systems.
  • Establish portfolio priorities, governance, decision rights, investment criteria, and executive escalation paths aligned with client objectives.
  • Serve as executive sponsor and decision-maker for major ERP, application modernization, integration, sourcing, and vendor matters.
  • Partner with client executives and business leaders to align technology investments, service expectations, and transformation priorities.
  • Oversee portfolio-level budgets, contracts, strategic vendors, risk posture, and major delivery commitments through assigned leaders.
  • Direct client management teams through clear outcomes, delegated authority, performance expectations, and escalation protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Former CIO, CTO, enterprise applications executive, ERP executive, or applications director with enterprise-wide accountability.
  • Demonstrated experience designing technology operating models, governance, organizations, portfolios, sourcing strategies, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Experience advising executives and business sponsors on major application, ERP, investment, vendor, and modernization decisions.
  • Strong executive communication, organizational assessment, change leadership, financial stewardship, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Public sector, education, county government, or similarly complex and regulated experience preferred.
