Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead large, data-intensive programs across product, engineering, design, and data science. You will drive execution, mentor TPMs, and ensure that complex, regulated systems are built with scalability and reliability in mind.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to own business and technical vision, remove blockers, and deliver tangible business impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs.
• Experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
• 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture - preferably using AWS.
• 3+ years of experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery.
• 3+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large scale platforms and products.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery life-cycle.
• Drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives.
• Grow and develop a team of TPMs and build foundations for the TPM practice.
• Collaborate across functions and reporting boundaries to get the job done with a systems thinking approach.
