Zscaler is seeking a senior technical program management leader to drive execution of strategic engineering initiatives within a shared platform engineering organization. Based hybrid in San Jose, CA (three days onsite), the role translates priorities into actionable plans and sets the business rhythm with cross-functional planning across product and platform engineering.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in technical program management or a related technical field.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's preferred.
• Proven track record applying methodologies such as Agile and Scrum and influencing executive leadership across large engineering organizations.
• Deep understanding of API platforms and software application frameworks such as Java and Spring (for example Spring Boot and Spring Cloud).
• Demonstrated curiosity about AI tools with a history of integrating new technologies into daily workflows.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to support C-level executives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead definition, planning, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technical programs aligned to R&D and strategic goals.
• Drive critical customer retention efforts by tracking support tickets, deployment progress, and telemetry data against priority account health.
• Establish and manage the interlocks, timelines, and workflows that define the operational rhythm for platform engineering and OKR achievement.
• Design, implement, and refine program management frameworks, processes, and tools to improve efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage dependencies, communicate program status and risks to executive leadership, and operationalize key transformational change plans.

It blends program management discipline with strategic influence, change management, and cross-functional planning across product and platform engineering.

Responsibilities

Benefits and work setup

• Base pay range of $199,500 to $285,000 USD, excluding commission, bonus, and equity.
