Job summary

ServiceNow seeks a Director, Technical Accounting to lead the Technical Accounting team in its growth phase. This high-profile role handles complex technical accounting matters, oversees purchase accounting for active M&A, and partners with Finance, Legal, and Corporate Development. Reports to the Sr.

Director, Technical Accounting and M&A. The role requires deep US GAAP expertise, SEC reporting familiarity, and a proven leadership track.

Qualifications

• Total experience of minimum 12 years with a minimum of 5 years of Big Four public accounting experience.
• BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting and active CPA license is required.
• Sr. Manager role in a Big Four public accounting firm and/or Director, Technical Accounting at a public company.
• Strong technical accounting background with knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting standards, and SOX 404; experience with technical research.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders on technical accounting positions without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Research and document the Company’s technical accounting issues; present positions to leadership and external auditors.
• Monitor and implement new accounting pronouncements; analyze impact with stakeholders.
• Lead M&A financial diligence, purchase accounting, and post-close integration.
• Serve as subject-matter expert for business combinations, investment accounting, impairment testing, and revenue accounting.
