Job summary

Cresset, a client-centric independent multi-family office, seeks a Director, Tax Manager to lead complex UHNW tax engagements and guide the tax function growth. This role blends technical tax excellence with advisory leadership in a fast-growing wealth office environment.

You will manage multi-jurisdictional compliance, collaborate with family office professionals, and help shape integrated tax and wealth planning strategies for high-net-worth families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and CPA are required.
• 8+ years of experience in tax compliance for UHNW individuals and complex entities.
• Strong knowledge of estate and financial planning within integrated wealth strategies.
• Experience with stock options, equity compensation models, and QSBS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute client tax compliance engagements for UHNW individuals and entities.
• Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Oversee data collection, workpapers, and final filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Research and resolve technical tax issues; advise on planning opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal and external advisors to integrate tax with wealth planning.
