Heritage Wealth Advisors seeks an experienced tax professional to lead complex tax work for high-net-worth clients within an integrated wealth management environment. You will oversee compliance and proactive planning, partnering with wealth advisors, planning professionals, investment teams, and outside advisors to deliver strategic tax solutions.

The role combines technical tax leadership with direct client engagement, mentoring colleagues, and helping shape Heritage's growing tax practice

Qualifications

• Significant experience in public accounting, wealth management, family office, or similar environments serving high-net-worth clients.
• Deep knowledge of federal and state taxation and ability to research complex matters.
• Experience reviewing tax returns, projections, and tax planning for complex structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex tax compliance, overseeing federal and state returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, and closely held businesses.
• Drive proactive tax planning and multistate taxation strategies.
• Integrate tax considerations with wealth planning, investments, and estate planning.
• Provide technical guidance to advisors and colleagues, translating complex tax concepts into actionable recommendations.
• Manage tax planning cycle, projections, payments, extensions, and deliverables.
• Review tax returns and related analyses for accuracy and sound judgment.
