Job summary

Blue Rock Human Capital, LLC is assisting a regulated financial institution in Pittsburgh to add a Director of Talent & Workforce Strategy. You will shape sourcing, development, and retention strategy across the organization and partner with executives on workforce planning and culture initiatives.

The role requires leading across recruiting, employee relations, OD, and analytics with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and executive leadership collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of HR leadership experience across multiple HR disciplines.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred; SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR a plus.
• Experience with Workday or equivalent HRMS is expected.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise talent acquisition strategy (approx. 30 hires per year).
• Lead employee engagement, culture, and employee relations efforts.

A well-established, regulated financial institution in the Pittsburgh market is adding a newly created seat to its HR leadership team: Director, Talent & Workforce Strategy.

The organization already runs disciplined succession planning and strategic workforce planning, reviewed quarterly with the executive team and twice a year with the board. What's missing is a leader who brings more structure and philosophy to how the company sources, develops, and retains talent across the board.

What you'll own:

• Enterprise talent acquisition strategy (around 30 hires a year across the organization)
• Employee engagement, workplace culture, and employee relations
• Leadership development, coaching, and succession readiness
• Strategic workforce planning and organizational design support
• Workforce analytics and reporting (Workday, with Tableau in use)
• Compliance with employment law and regulatory expectations in a regulated environment

What you bring:

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience with real leadership responsibility, not just individual contributor work
• A track record across multiple HR disciplines: recruiting, employee relations, OD, or workforce planning. Generalists with a specialty are a strong fit; pure specialists are not
• Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR a plus
• Experience with Workday or a comparable HRMS
