Job summary

Rackspace is seeking a Director, Talent Engine to lead the strategy, build-out, and operations of a scalable talent capability for Data & AI engagements. You will partner with HR, Delivery, Engineering and BU leaders to scale pathways from early-career to graduates, define merit bars, and drive production-ready outcomes.

In this remote role, you’ll build a Rackspace academy, align curricula, certify operators, and forecast bench-to-billable demand across private cloud and AI deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in talent strategy or workforce development; 3+ years building training/certification programs.
• Experience designing multi-pathway hiring programs at scale (early-career, non-traditional, graduate).
• Ability to speak credibly with engineering/delivery leaders about production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Identify three merit-based pathways into the program and manage sourcing volume and cost-per-hire targets.
• Design and operate a Rackspace academy turning hires into production-ready skills in weeks.
• Establish certification as the quality bar before customer deployment and align with Palantir standards.
• Forecast demand, plan cohorts, and deploy certified FDEs into diverse environments.
• Lead partnerships with Palantir training teams and drive broader Talent Engine initiatives.
