Job summary

Strong leadership and planning abilities with excellent strategic thinking.
Deep understanding of server, storage, virtualization, and cloud computing across Windows and Linux.
Knowledge of middleware such as databases, web services, and load balancing.
Ability to direct DevOps and automation resources toward strategic requirements.
Experience partnering with security teams to manage risk and compliance.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive systems strategy aligned with university goals.
Lead design, implementation, and management of physical and virtual server infrastructure, storage, and cloud environments.
Oversee day-to-day systems operations, ensure availability and performance, and maintain SLAs.
Drive DevOps, automation, and process improvements to reduce toil and improve efficiency.
Own application system and security support, coordinating with owners and security teams.
Manage budget, vendor relationships, and multi-year planning for systems and campus safety tech.
