Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a senior leader to oversee the System Communication Engineering group, directing planning, design, development, operations and maintenance of the Northeast Corridor's communications and radio infrastructure.

The role includes strategic leadership, standards development, capital planning, and cross-department coordination with IT and stakeholders to ensure objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 11+ years of experience.
• Experience in railway engineering and maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee standards, specifications, engineering practices, design, and maintenance of communication infrastructure.
• Coordinate with IT and stakeholders to meet operational goals for Communications & Security systems.
• Provide leadership to the Engineering Systems group and interface with regulatory authorities and external agencies.
