Job summary

Tenderloin Housing Clinic in San Francisco seeks a Senior Manager to lead and develop the Support Services team within its housing program. You will supervise case managers, coordinate training, oversee quality assurance, and ensure compassionate tenant support in a fast-paced nonprofit setting.

Requirements include an MA/MS in Social Work, LCSW, 4+ years in nonprofit leadership, and strong clinical/crisis management skills. English proficiency and knowledge of local housing law are essential.

Qualifications

• MA/MS degree in Social Work or related field required.
• LCSW required.
• Must complete an Involuntary Hold Training (5150/5250) that requires up to 8 hours for certification, sponsored by THC.
• Must have a minimum of 4 years of work in a non-profit that includes direct or indirect experience with multi-diagnosed, low-income, homeless, or formerly homeless adults.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of proven leadership and hands-on experience training and managing staff and programmatic functions.
• Must have strong clinical assessment and crisis management skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, direct, supervise, develop, evaluate, and performance manage the daily activities of staff in accordance with THC policies and directives.
• Conduct regularly scheduled meetings, supervision, onboarding, and trainings to motivate staff and promote team building.
• Identify department training needs and assist with development, scheduling, and facilitating needed training.
• Ensure staff are aware of and correctly implement all safety rules and procedures.
• Hold staff accountable for high levels of performance, teamwork, and quality customer service.
• Provide leadership, vision, and project direction that engenders trust and respect.
• Participate in the leadership activities of the department’s management team.
