The Director, Supply Chain ensures that procurement, contracting, and supplier management activities support overall project objectives related to schedule, cost, quality, and risk.

This role provides leadership to supply chain professionals and cross‑functional teams while developing procurement strategies, establishing vendor relationships, and driving commercial outcomes that support the long‑term success of the project and organization.

Core Responsibilities

  • Defining and executing procurement and contracting strategies that support project schedule, risk management, and cost optimization objectives.
  • Establishing and maintaining a project‑specific Approved Vendor List (AVL) that aligns with project technical, commercial, and quality requirements.
  • Overseeing the preparation and issuance of Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages, ensuring clear technical and commercial specifications.
  • Leading the commercial and technical evaluation of supplier bids, ensuring vendor selection supports best overall value.
  • Preparing and presenting recommendations for award to senior leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Ensuring procurement delivery timelines support project construction and commissioning schedules.
  • Driving cost control and value optimization across all procurement packages.
  • Leading supplier negotiations and contract finalization with equipment manufacturers, contractors, and service providers.
  • Managing third‑party contract services including scope definition, commercial terms, and performance monitoring.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing supply chain teams across multiple disciplines including procurement, contracts, expediting, logistics, and supplier management.
  • Collaborating with engineering, project management, construction, and finance teams to ensure integrated project execution.
  • Driving continuous improvement in systems, processes, and supply chain tools, contributing to the development of best practices across the organization.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, commercial, and governance requirements across all procurement activities.
  • Providing strategic reporting and recommendations to senior leadership regarding supply chain risks, opportunities, and performance.
What you'll bring to the role

What you'll bring to the role is a combination of deep supply chain expertise, strategic leadership, and the ability to deliver results within complex project environments.

Key qualifications and experience include:
