Job summary

Vero Biotech seeks a senior supply chain leader to direct purchasing, planning, warehousing, and materials control. You will forecast needs, drive production scheduling, and optimize margins and inventory turns while leading an end-to-end materials team.

You will implement Lean and ERP enhancements, manage supplier programs, and ensure cGMP compliance across functions, with a focus on reducing risk and improving efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in a related field or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in purchasing and materials management roles.
  • 5-10 years of direct management experience in a medical device or regulated environment.
  • Strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution.
  • Proven leadership skills in building and managing teams with a history of success.

Responsibilities

Directs the organization's overall supply chain operations, including planning, purchasing, and inventory management of raw materials, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods and service parts. Evaluates past performance data to forecast needs and production scheduling. Develops strategic plans to improve margins, inventory turns, and overall efficiency of operations. Leads implementation of tools to drive improvements in Supply and Demand Planning and Inventory Accuracy.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Direct the activities of all functions involved in the purchasing, planning, warehousing, and control of materials from the receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to the delivery of the finished product into finished goods inventory and delivery of products to customer(s).

  • Manage inventory and establish controls to ensure Vero Biotech is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk.

  • Develop strategies, policies, procedures, and overall team to optimize value of the entire function in creating a world class materials management group.

  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement.

  • Lead and coach others in maintaining excellence in cGMP, quality control, and safety.

  • Develop and continuously improve supplier programs.

  • Participate in existing and new product planning processes to ensure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches.

  • Participate in the design and implementation of new ERP system and optimize its use.

  • Lead negotiation efforts for major contracts.

  • Develop and manage departmental budgets accordingly

  • Establish annual goals and objectives (including stretch targets) in coordination with corporate objectives, and manage performance to ensure attainment

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

  • Lead and manage a team that executes against Operating Plans and demonstrates a culture of Continuous Learning and Improvement.

  • Deploy Lean tools and Visual Management techniques to support transparency and \"real-time\" awareness of flow and performance.

  • Work seamlessly across Departments.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Supervises all supply chain employees, directly or indirectly, in compliance with company policies and procedures. Is directly responsible for their team's decisions, actions, and performance and reports.
