Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Experience leading supplier audits and qualification activities.
• Proficiency with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, APQP, SPC, and MSA.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent quality management system standards.

• Establish supplier qualification and approval processes, including FAI and PPAP.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier-related nonconformances.

• Support new product introduction by qualifying suppliers for new materials, components, and processes.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Director Supplier Quality to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will lead supplier quality strategy and execution across a complex aerospace environment, with a strong focus on supplier qualification, audits, and performance improvement. The Director will partner closely with Procurement, Engineering, and operations teams to strengthen supply chain reliability and reduce quality risk. This is a hands‑on leadership role that will guide a team responsible for qualifying suppliers, resolving nonconformances, and supporting new product introduction.

Location: Huntsville, AL - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $203,165 – $284,430 annually
