GLOBALFOUNDRIES U.S. INC. seeks a Superconducting Technology Architect at Director level to define and advance foundry platforms for superconducting qubits, Josephson-junction logic, and cryogenic control.

You will lead cross-functional teams, translate requirements into scalable processes, and drive customer programs with universities, suppliers, and partners. The role requires 15+ years in semiconductor tech with deep expertise in superconducting devices and digital logic, plus proven

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

Develop long-term roadmaps for superconducting qubits and related digital logic.
Translate system requirements into materials, processes, and test vehicles.
Shape manufacturable qubit technologies across Josephson junctions, resonators, and packaging.
Define scalable digital platforms (RSFQ, ERSFQ/eSFQ, RQL, AQFP) with performance targets.
Lead process integration, simulations, tape-outs, and technology transfer.
Build and govern development programs with customers, universities, and suppliers.
Lead multidisciplinary teams, recruit and mentor engineers, manage budgets and schedules.
Drive cycle-time reduction, SPC maturity, and manufacturing system improvements.
Perform all activities safely and within EH&S requirements.
