Job summary

GlobalFoundries' GF Labs is seeking a Sr. Director to lead Quantum Technology Solutions, driving strategy and execution for next-generation quantum programs across multiple modalities and cryo- CMOS contexts.

You will build a high-performance, at-scale execution organization, recruit talented teams, manage complex multi-quarter programs, establish partnerships with universities and industry, and communicate milestones and ROI to executives.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of semiconductor or quantum R&D experience.
• Deep technical breadth across BEOL integration, photonics, or quantum modalities in at least two areas.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel 25%+.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the GF Labs Quantum roadmap aligned with emerging industry needs and strategic customer engagements.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of a large-scale, multidisciplinary team.
• Oversee joint development programs targeting multi-qubit quantum systems and accelerate hardware milestones.
• Build strategic partnerships with quantum materials/tools providers and research institutions.
• Communicate milestones and ROI to business stakeholders and ensure system-level reliability and quality.
