Francis Parker School is seeking a Director of Transportation to oversee a fleet of 14 buses and 8 vans, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant student transportation for multiple school programs in San Diego. The director will lead staffing, training, maintenance, scheduling, and emergency response while collaborating with campus leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, logistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing transportation operations or similar safety-sensitive operations.
• Commercial Driver License (CDL) with applicable passenger and school-bus endorsements.
• Experience with GPS-based fleet tracking and routing software.

Responsibilities

• Direct Parker’s daily transportation operations for ~14 buses and 8 vans.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize transportation routes and schedules.
• Coordinate morning, athletic, field trips, summer, and special events.
• Ensure vehicles are staffed, maintained, and compliant with schedules.
• Establish safety procedures and manage emergencies and incidents.
