Job summary

Kite Pharma in Santa Monica, CA, seeks a Director, Business Strategy & Operations to partner with US Commercial, translating priorities into coordinated action and measurable outcomes. The role will relocate to El Segundo, CA or Thousand Oaks, CA beginning in January 2027, with a hybrid policy of two days remote and three onsite.

The position leads strategic, financial, and organizational planning, governance, and cross-functional coordination, shaping product launches and enterprise strategy

Qualifications

Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) with 8+ years of experience.
Master’s Degree with 10+ years, or Bachelor’s with 12+ years of experience.
Experience in pharma, biopharma, or related commercial fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

Advise the GM by translating complex information into executive-ready insights and materials.
Translate strategy into priorities, roadmaps, measures, and actionable plans.
Lead annual strategic, financial, and headcount planning and coordination.
Design governance, planning cycles, and quarterly business reviews for disciplined execution.
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across US Commercial and enterprise planning forums.
Track performance, identify barriers, and drive improvements and readiness for launches.
