Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL, seeks an experienced strategic planning professional to support enterprise-wide initiatives related to clinical services, facilities, and operations. You will analyze market conditions, financial data, and payer mix to inform decisions and help shape growth opportunities across the health system.

The role may oversee a planning team, build financial models, and present insights to executives.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Health or Business Administration required.
Minimum of seven years of planning or business development experience.
Experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist leadership with development and evaluation of programs and services.
Conduct market assessments to determine current position and growth opportunities.
Analyze inpatient and outpatient data relative to demand and competition.
Provide decision-making support using BI data and demographic projections.
Utilize multiple software programs and databases to inform strategy.
Perform due diligence, financial modeling, and scenario analysis.
Monitor KPIs against organizational benchmarks.
Coordinate and facilitate strategic plans for priority services.
Present analysis to stakeholders and educate planning staff.
May have direct managerial responsibilities for the planning team.
