Job summary

Southern Company Services seeks a Director of Technology Strategy & Enablement to lead the Technology Organization's horizontal strategy function, shaping the overarching technology strategy, multi-year capability roadmaps, OKRs, and value realization framework to enable business aspirations.

This leader aggregates demand from Electric, Gas, Enterprise, and Shared Services to identify common capabilities and opportunities for platform reuse, coordinating with Architecture, Infrastructure & Cloud

Qualifications

• Leadership and change management experience demonstrated at scale.
• Ability to translate business strategy into technology capability roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Technology Organization's strategic planning process and translate enterprise priorities into a cohesive technology strategy and multi-year capability roadmap.
• Partner with business strategy, operating company, and functional leadership to translate objectives into technology capabilities and investment recommendations.
• Lead strategic assessments for the operating model, governance, sourcing, workforce planning, and service delivery models.
• Aggregate demand to identify shared foundational capabilities and opportunities for reuse and cost optimization.
• Develop 3-5 year technology capability roadmaps supporting transformation and modernization.
• Align technology strategies with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data & AI, and Application leadership.
• Identify capability gaps, platform overlap, and future-state enablement requirements.
• Establish and manage Technology Organization OKRs, executive scorecards, and dashboards.
• Translate priorities into roadmap recommendations and investment themes for executives.
• Support investment planning with strategic insights and expected value realization.
• Coordinate with PMO, Application VPs, and business stakeholders to align strategy with execution.
• Provide visibility into performance, value realization, and strategic impact.
