Job summary

Intuit Inc. is seeking a Director, Strategic Sourcing - Tech to lead a multi-billion dollar technology sourcing portfolio.

You will oversee Cloud, Software, Hardware, Telecom, and ETS, driving data-driven strategies while mentoring a 50-person team and guiding senior leaders across QuickBooks, Mailchimp, TurboTax, and Credit Karma. You will negotiate complex global agreements, implement AI-enabled sourcing, and partner with VP+ stakeholders to ensure value and compliance across a large ecosystem

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive strategic sourcing or commercial leadership experience.
• 5+ years of management experience with recruiting, mentoring, and retaining a top-tier team.
• Strong strategic sourcing expertise with financial acumen and high-value negotiations.
• Experience championing AI and automation to speed decisions and reduce manual effort.

Intuit’s Global Strategic Sourcing team is at the forefront of a data-driven sourcing organization. The team is responsible for driving commercial excellence, speed, and innovation by partnering across Intuit’s 3rd party ecosystem to deliver enterprise value in a digitally advanced, data-driven sourcing function. Technology vendor contracts are highly specialized, and licensing models, contract terms, and SLAs require deep expertise to negotiate and protect Intuit's interests.

Reporting to the VP of Stock, Treasury & Procurement, the Director of Strategic Sourcing - Tech leads a high-impact organization driving strategies across our Cloud, Software, Hardware, Telecom, Engineering & Technology Services organizations. This leader will serve as a trusted commercial advisor to senior leaders and support major business units including QuickBooks, Mailchimp, TurboTax and Credit Karma.

This executive will be responsible for a multi-billion portfolio in total spend, almost 900 suppliers, and manage a team of approximately 50 FTEs and Contract Workers.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement process improvements that reduce cycle time, deliver efficiency gains, and ensure compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive strategic sourcing or commercial leadership experience.
• 5+ years of management experience, with a demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, develop, and retain an outstanding strategic sourcing team.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, with strong financial acumen and experience leading complex, high-value negotiations.
• AI-Centered Approach: Demonstrated experience championing AI and automation across the sourcing function to drive faster decisions and reduce manual effort
• Strategic and Global Mindset: Ability to align sourcing strategies to enterprise goals and manage a broad, complex portfolio of categories within a fast-paced, dynamic organization.

San Diego, CA $235,000- $318,000
