Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Director, Supply Chain: Procurement & Sourcing to lead end-to-end sourcing strategies within the PEPI practice. The role involves studying a client’s procurement setup, crafting strategies that align with growth and EBITDA objectives, and guiding supplier negotiations and vendor relations.

You will manage complex sourcing programs across industries, require deep materials knowledge, and travel up to 80%. A strong consulting background and MBA are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of consulting and/or industry operating experience.
• MBA preferred; experience with top-tier firms or Big-4.
• Deep expertise in direct materials and procurement across industries.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of a client’s procurement organization and sourcing capabilities.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with growth and financial objectives, including forecasting, demand/supply planning, inventory management, and logistics.
• Lead supplier identification, approval, contract and pricing negotiations, and vendor relations.
• Develop implementation plans to drive changes in procurement and sourcing initiatives.
• Analyze data, deliver findings, and lead teams to deliver results on time and with quality.
