Job summary

NAVEX is seeking a Director of Strategy & Operations to own high-priority growth initiatives and drive outcomes alongside the CEO and senior leaders. This global role requires executive-level thinking, rigorous analysis, and decisive action across strategy, corporate development, and cross-functional execution.

You will shape NAVEX’s enterprise strategy by integrating market insights with financial and operational data, while partnering with analysts and specialists to amplify impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (MBA preferred).
• 4+ years of experience in corporate strategy, growth strategy, business transformation, or related field.
• 4+ years of consulting experience with a top-tier firm (e.g., McKinsey/Bain/BCG/Oliver Wyman).
• Management/operating experience at a high-growth tech company preferred.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows, automation platforms, and BI tools.
• Strong strategic judgment in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Culture Agility and AI Readiness are important.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic substance and outcomes of priority growth initiatives sponsored by the CSO.
• Lead complex cross-functional programs with clear accountability and timelines.
• Shape NAVEX’s enterprise strategy by synthesizing market and operational insights into recommendations.
• Partner with the CSO to test ideas and represent the CSO perspective.
• Translate ambiguous problems into clear workstreams and decisions.
• Prepare executive-level presentations and briefing materials for leadership and board discussions.
• Identify strategic growth opportunities and expansion initiatives.
• Evaluate investments, adjacencies, and competitive positioning.
• Support corporate development, including market scanning and M&A assessments.

What you’ll do:

• Own the strategic substance and outcomes of priority growth and value creation initiatives sponsored by the Chief Strategy Officer
• Lead complex cross-functional programs with clear accountability, timelines, and measurable outcomes
• Shape and evolve NAVEX’s enterprise strategy by synthesizing market, customer, financial, and operational insights into clear strategic recommendations
• Act as a strategic thought partner to the Chief Strategy Officer, pressure-testing ideas and representing the CSO perspective in working forums as appropriate
• Help structure ambiguous problems into clear workstreams and decisions, amplifying the impact of analysts and specialists across the team
• Prepare executive-level presentations, decision memos, and briefing materials for senior leadership and board discussions
• Identify strategic growth opportunities and operational expansion initiatives
• Evaluate investment opportunities, market adjacencies, and competitive positioning
• Support corporate development initiatives including market scanning, partnership evaluation, M&A assessments, and build/buy/partner analysis

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (MBA preferred)
• 4+ years of experience in corporate strategy, growth strategy, business transformation, or a related field.
• 4+ years of consulting experience with a top-tier consulting firm such as McKinsey/Bain/BCG/Kearney/Oliver Wyman/Deloitte Consulting/Accenture/EY Parthenon
• Management/operating experience at a high-growth technology company is preferred
• Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders without formal authority
• Exceptional communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on operational execution
• Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows, automation platforms, and business intelligence tools
• Strong strategic judgment with the ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
