Job summary

Uncommon Schools is seeking a Director of Strategic Initiatives to partner with the Co-CEOs, shape organizational direction, and drive cross-functional programs across Finance, Talent, and Operations.

Lead annual planning, support board governance, and manage communications for the Board of Trustees and regional boards, while developing the Specialist in Strategic Initiatives and Executive Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience in strategy, initiatives, or executive support.
• Experience with nonprofit leadership or operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Staff key strategic initiatives for Co-CEOs, guiding organizational priorities.
• Oversee board governance, including committees and communications.
