About The Team:

The Strategic Analytics Team at BlueLabs conducts high-quality, innovative research and analysis across sectors including commercial, political, media, and non-profit, to inform data-driven decision-making. Team members analyze data, provide strategic insights, drive innovation, and collaborate closely with clients and technical teams.

About The Role:

The Director of Strategic Analytics manages all client analysis needs, guides analysis, oversees quality control, and reviews client-facing summaries. The role involves translating data into tactical and strategic insights, managing a team of analysts, mentoring, and fostering cross-team collaboration. This leadership position requires expertise in data and analytics, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead both internally and externally.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Leading analysts on quantitative research projects, including experimental designs, RCTs, digital marketing tracking, statistical modeling, and survey analysis; providing thought leadership and quality control; reviewing client materials.
  2. Managing a team of 10 analysts, supporting their development, establishing best practices, and tracking productivity.
  3. Collaborating with leadership on research and development priorities.
  4. Partnering with client leads to develop products, services, and approaches.
  5. Providing guidance on team priorities, staffing, and professional growth.
  6. Supporting the development of analysts’ skills and work quality.
  7. Identifying opportunities for team growth and professional development.
  8. Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in a quantitative field.
  • 6+ years of relevant analytics leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of team leadership, demonstrating empathy, coaching, integrity, decisiveness, and problem-solving.
  • Experience with statistical modeling, polling, experimental design, RCTs, or marketing tracking is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, or R.
  • Strong data visualization and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct analysis under tight deadlines with unstructured problems.
  • Excellent technical communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organization.
