Position Focus:
Yale University is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as the Director of Strategic Analysis. This role oversees Yale's internal consulting team, advising top university leaders—including the president, provost, deans, and vice presidents—on their most critical initiatives. Primary Roles and Responsibilities of the Director Include:
• Manage the Strategic Analysis team and the development of the Swensen Fellows Program, recruit, onboard, and train an exceptional cohort of fellows each year.
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the fellows, including staffing, project guidance, feedback, and coaching.
• Foster a positive and engaged team culture and proactively invest in the professional development of fellows.
• Lead high-priority strategic projects and oversee the team's projects.
• Collaborate with and manage clients to understand their objectives and create actionable plans.
• Communicate concepts and results through clear presentations and facilitate working sessions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in related field. Seven years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Team Leadership: Experience managing others in consulting and a passion for developing people.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to build relationships in a complex organization.
• Prior exposure to the education or social sector is ideal but not required.
• Ability to identify and understand ambiguous issues, and develop strategic frameworks.
• Strong analytical aptitude with knowledge of analytical and data visualization tools.
