Director, Strategic Account Management

The Digital Products & Solutions (DP&S) business unit at IQVIA is a function-led organization encompassing Strategy, Product Management, Product Engineering, Delivery, and Commercialization. Our portfolio spans Clinical, Patient, Safety, Regulatory, and Commercial technology and services.

DP&S Delivery engagements range from single-country, single-solution projects to complex, multi-country, integrated solutions. Our team of project and service management professionals ensures the successful development, deployment, and support of these technologies and services.

As Director, Strategic Account Management within the Clinical Trial Payments (CTP) Delivery team, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping the success of our enterprise client relationships. This role combines strategic vision, financial oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to drive revenue growth, enhance client satisfaction, and improve operational excellence.

You will lead a team of Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) and oversee the Project Finance Team, ensuring alignment with client goals and IQVIA’s broader business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders in CTP enterprise accounts.
  • Lead regular governance meetings to review KPIs, address escalations, and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Inspire and guide a high-performing team of SAMs to act as trusted advisors and foster authentic client relationships.
  • Develop and execute a forward-looking enterprise account management strategy.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and agility within the Strategic Accounts team.
  • Drive revenue growth through cross-selling, upselling, and expanding CTP’s footprint in existing accounts.
  • Oversee project financials, including profitability, staff utilization, and timely change order creation.
  • Collaborate with the Commercialization team to shape go-to-market messaging and support Sales enablement.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 7–10+ years of relevant experience in strategic account management or delivery leadership.
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and driving business results.
  • Strong executive-level client relationship management skills.
  • Deep understanding of project financials, profitability, and resource utilization.
  • Familiarity with LEAN principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align account strategies with organizational goals.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business process assessment skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $108,100.00 - $300,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
