Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Madison, NJ is seeking a Director of Statistical Programming to provide technical leadership and set delivery strategies for high-quality programming across indications. You will manage a leadership team, drive cross-functional collaboration with HR and TA, and ensure compliant, efficient execution of analyses for complex trials.

The role includes functional management responsibilities, recruitment oversight, and ongoing process improvements to advance programming

Qualifications

• MS with ~10+ years of industry related experience.
• BS with ~12+ years of industry related experience.
• Proven track record of leading business process transformations and organizational culture change as well as driving programming expertise on programs with complex business deliverables
• Proven track record of attracting and retaining talent
• Operational experience in pharmaceutical drug development with significant direct exposure to clinical development
• Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry
• Proficient knowledge of drug development process, clinical trial methodology, regulatory guidance, industry standards, statistical concepts, and medical terminology used in the analysis and submission of clinical data

Responsibilities

• Leads statistical programming activities across an indication/disease area and related oversight activities ensuring quality and timeliness
• Leads the recruitment and retention strategies for Statistical Programming in collaboration with Statistical Programming LT, HR and Talent Acquisition teams.
• Leads statistical programming indication/disease area level strategies
• Sets tasks and prioritization across the indication/disease area
• Successfully engages cross functionally to progress tasks with proven influencing skills
• Leads process improvement initiatives, including identification of areas of improvement
• Existing influential internal and external presence on varied statistical programming topics
• Provides comprehensive programming leadership and support to complex clinical project teams and vendors, including deployment of programming strategies, standards, specifications and programmed analysis to comply with regulatory requirements, SOPs and work practices
• Provides guidance on developing and implementing innovative strategies and technologies for clinical trial programming at program level
• Member of Extended Statistical Programming Leadership Team in sharing and building up the line function vision
• Challenges status-quo, as appropriate and executes on any changes in process in order to continue driving the efficiency in Statistical Programming
