ID.me is seeking a Director of Government Affairs, SLED, to lead public policy and advocacy for the State, Local, and Education market. You will engage governors’ offices, legislatures, and agencies to advance digital identity, privacy, and fraud-prevention objectives.

The role requires deep policy knowledge, political instincts, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic public sector environment. On-site, five days a week in multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in state government affairs, public policy, legislative service, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in state legislative and regulatory processes.
• Proven success advancing policy priorities at the state level.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement state government affairs strategies to support ID.me’s revenue objectives.
• Represent ID.me before state legislatures, executive agencies, and regulatory authorities through lobbying and relationship management.
• Establish operational plans for the state government affairs function aligned with policy strategy and GTM goals.
