Job summary

Corning Incorporated seeks a seasoned government affairs leader to guide policy priorities in Texas and Arizona. You will develop strategies, monitor legislation, and engage elected officials and stakeholders to advance Corning’s business objectives across manufacturing, supply chain, and economic development priorities.

This role reports to the Senior Director of US State Government Affairs and requires strong relationship-building, policy analysis, and experience navigating state government

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in government affairs or public policy preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent company interests with trade, industry, and professional orgs.
• Develop coalitions to support Corning Incorporated’s policy agenda.
• Build relationships with state and local economic development, workforce, energy, infrastructure, and regulatory stakeholders in Texas and Arizona.
• Develop, coordinate, and execute state and local legislative strategies in Texas and Arizona, and advocate for company positions.
• Monitor and analyze state and local policy developments affecting Corning operations, investments, or workforce.
• Travel approximately 50% within Texas and Arizona, and occasionally to Washington, DC, Corning, NY, or other locations as needed.
