Mercy is seeking a Director of Spiritual Care to provide strategic leadership for local and ministry-wide spiritual care programs. The role oversees chaplain development, clinical integration, CPE collaboration, and volunteer ministry initiatives to advance whole-person care across Mercy’s care settings.

The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree and ACPE education, be Board Certified, and bring 3 years of chaplaincy plus 2 years of healthcare leadership experience.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Theology, Divinity, Ministry, Health Administration, or related field.
• Four ACPE/CPE/CPSP units of Clinical Pastoral Education.
• Board Certified Chaplain through APC/BCCI NAVAC NACC NAJC, per certification bodies.

Aufgaben

• Lead implementation of local and ministry-wide Spiritual Care priorities.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, quality improvement, research, and growth.
• Recruit, develop, mentor, evaluate, and support chaplains.
• Oversee volunteers: recruitment, onboarding, engagement, development, recognition, retention.
• Promote excellence in Spiritual Care practice, documentation, and quality improvement.
• Collaborate with CPE faculty and ministry leadership on student learning experiences.
• Partner with Mission Integration, Ethics, Community Health, and other leaders to advance whole-person care.
• Uphold Mercy's mission, values, and Catholic identity; integrate ERD into leadership and practice.
