Director, Solutions Architecture

Where you will work:

This role is remote-based in NJ, PA, NY, IL, TX, or CA, with travel to the nearest office as needed.

A Day in the Life of the Director, Solutions Architecture:

• Lead the vision and execution of the Solutions Architecture strategy to drive complex solution activity and increase revenue.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Product teams, and Sales to capture requirements and deliver solutions.
• Develop design standards and best practices across sales verticals.
• Lead Solutions Architects and Engineers supporting long-term solutions, defining strategies, standards, and use cases.
• Support business development strategies and requests.
• Develop Vendor Architecture SMEs to connect products with vendor capabilities.
• Align with the Advanced Services team to ensure seamless customer onboarding and support.
• Establish reporting metrics for sales activity and dashboards.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve product understanding and identify gaps.
• Demonstrate industry trend expertise, especially in managed services and AI.
• Research new technologies and develop industry standards.
• Review solutions, identify system design gaps, and set clear expectations.
• Foster teamwork, training, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Communicate product roadmaps, manage escalations, and set customer expectations.
• Support network operations and vendor training as needed.
• Promote DEI initiatives and create an inclusive work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Experienced leader of architects or senior engineers in complex managed solutions.
• 8+ years in telecommunications, network design, engineering, or project management.
• 8+ years in Sales Engineering, Network Engineering, or Architecture.
• 5+ years as an SD-WAN SME or engineer.
• 3+ years in custom Wi-Fi solutions.
• Strong industry trend knowledge, especially in enterprise and carrier networking.
• Deep understanding of Cloud, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, and networking technologies.
• Knowledge of voice solutions and UCaaS.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and developing training content.
• Financial modeling skills and cost articulation.
• Proven leadership in team development and motivation.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus.
• Leadership in delivering complex solutions timely and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Customer relationship management and client-facing skills.
• Understanding of MSO network architectures and technologies.
• Ability to translate technical needs for non-technical audiences.
• Strong business and analytical skills.

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Salary:

$155,000 - $175,000 annually, plus bonuses and commissions. Actual pay varies based on skills and experience.
