You will partner with DevOps to shape cloud-native architecture and improve performance across enterprise apps. The ideal candidate has 12+ years in software engineering, 5+ years in engineering leadership, and hands-on experience with Java, Spring

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS or software engineering or related field.
12+ years of software engineering and application development experience.
5+ years of engineering leadership experience with large-scale teams.
Proven experience with enterprise apps and cloud-native solutions.
Hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Microservices, PostgreSQL, React, JavaScript/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the technology vision and delivery roadmap for internal platforms and tools.
Drive software engineering excellence through best practices and operational discipline.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Software Engineering - Platform & Tool Development to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This leader will guide the vision and execution for internal platforms and tooling that enable engineering productivity, platform modernization, and reliable software delivery. The role will partner closely with DevOps and other technical stakeholders to shape cloud-native architecture, strengthen operational discipline, and improve the performance and availability of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on software engineering experience along with the leadership presence to drive modern development practices across a large-scale environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $189,400 – $260,500 annually
