Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Director of Software Engineering for OCI Networking, leading multiple teams responsible for highly available, distributed cloud infrastructure. You will drive technical and organizational priorities, shape architecture, and partner across OCI Networking to deliver scalable control plane services.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years leading engineering managers, deep distributed systems knowledge, and strong delivery discipline with modern deployment practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading engineering teams building and operating highly available, production-grade distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience managing engineering managers and/or senior technical leaders.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and software architecture.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals and configuration management is highly desirable.
• Experience with modern software development and deployment practices, including CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and large-scale deployment workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex engineering initiatives and collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.

We're rearchitecting OCI's physical network control and management systems from the ground up to support the next generation of networking services. US: Hiring Range in USD from: $169,800 - $355,400 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
