AVANGRID SERVICE COMPANY is seeking a Director of Control Systems & Automation to lead multiple operating centers across jurisdictions. You will direct EMS/OMS/SCADA and AMI initiatives, managing a 100+ staff and a multi-million dollar budget to ensure reliability and regulatory compliance.

The role demands strategic architecture, vendor negotiations, and executive communication to drive technology roadmaps for energy networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
• Masters degree or MBA preferred for strategic leadership roles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with utility regulations and enterprise governance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directs all aspects of real time operating platforms for electric/gas operations.
• Develops strategic roadmaps for Smart Grids control systems and automation.
• Oversees control center applications development, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Directs platform infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and security.
• Leads GIS data strategy and data integration across systems.
• Ensures compliance with NERC CIP, FCC and regulatory requirements.
