Job summary

Cenovus Energy is seeking a Director, Site Projects Execution, to lead a multi-site portfolio of refinery projects in the US with a focus on safe, reliable, and cost-efficient delivery. The role oversees design engineering, contracting, construction, project controls, and commissioning across Stages 3-5, coordinating with Front-End Development and other functional groups.

Based in the United States, you will drive capital efficiency, manage a $300–$400 million annual budget, and guide teams

Qualifications

• 20+ years of relevant refinery or oil/petrochemical experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop teams across US/Canada refining sites to deliver a portfolio of projects.
• Drive project execution across defined stages with budgets and safety, quality, reliability, and cost goals.
• Oversee project controls, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure alignment with HSE, Front-End Development, Turnaround, supply chain, and other functions.
