The Department of Commerce, Office of the Secretary, seeks a Director for Shared Services Procurement in Washington, DC. This leadership role oversees full life-cycle acquisition support across the Department and manages an innovative contracting model focused on efficiency and economies of scale.

You will work with technical, legal, finance, and acquisition teams to drive competitive strategies, optimize sourcing, and ensure compliance with federal rules.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of contracting or related experience; mandatory training prescribed by agency head.
• At least 1 year of specialized experience at or above the next lower level.
• 4-year degree with coursework in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, or related fields; transcripts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage DOC's acquisition portfolio for OS and bureaus lacking procurement authority.
• Oversee competition management, acquisition planning, and contract strategy.
• Ensure compliance with federal statutes, regulations, and policies.
• Provide full life-cycle acquisition support across the Department.
• Monitor performance and optimize the department's strategic sourcing portfolio.
