Job summary

The Shield Co. Management, LLC is seeking a Director of SEO/AEO & Content Marketing to drive national and local organic growth. You will own the strategy for SEO, AEO, content marketing, and organic social, reporting on lead volume, sales, revenue, and CAC contributions.

You will grow a high-visibility program across Geo markets and multi-location services. You will lead technical SEO, local citations, content production, and influencer partnerships, while building and mentoring a team and

Qualifications

• 8+ years in national and local SEO with a proven track record on high-traffic sites.
• Experience building AEO/LLM visibility programs and understanding AI-driven search changes.
• Local SEO at scale: multi-location GBP, citations, and review programs.
• Technical depth: crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data.
• Content operations leadership: editorial calendars and production pipelines.
• Channel P&L ownership and proven team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own organic growth strategy: national/local SEO, AEO, content marketing, and organic social.
• Grow EcoShield site via technical SEO, on-page optimization, internal linking, and link acquisition.
• Lead AEO program including citations and visibility in AI systems with share of voice reporting.
• Scale local SEO: manage GBP for service areas, build local landing pages, and reviews.
• Oversee content engine: editorial standards, service pages, guides, and video with AI-assisted production.
• Grow organic social with video-first approach and influencer partnerships.
• Hire and develop SEO/AEO and content staff; manage agency partnerships when valuable.
• Forecast and report organic leads, sales, and CAC contributions.

Director, SEO/AEO & Content Marketing

What You Will Own The organic growth strategy and its results: national SEO, local SEO, AEO, content marketing, and organic social, reporting on lead volume, sales, revenue, and CAC contribution, not just rankings.

Growth of organic performance on www.ecoshieldpest.com: technical SEO, site architecture, on page optimization, internal linking, and link acquisition.

The AEO program, built from the ground up: earning citations and visibility for EcoShield in ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini for pest control queries, with share of voice tracked and reported.

Local at scale: Google Business Profiles claimed, cleaned, and optimized for every service area, plus citations, review generation velocity, and local landing pages per market and per pest.

The content engine: editorial standards, service pages, guides, and video, using AI assisted production with human editorial quality control.

Organic social built with a video first focus, including niche influencer partnerships that resonate with our audience.

Team and partner leadership: as we grow the program, you will hire and develop SEO/AEO and content specialists and manage an agency partner if/where it genuinely adds value.

Forecasting and reporting: organic lead and sales volume forecasts.

What You Will Bring

• 8+ years in both National and Local SEO with a demonstrated track record of creating and managing a successful organic channel on a high trafficked website.
• Real results and deep and credible fluency, building AEO and LLM visibility programs, with a point of view on how AI answers change search behavior.
• Local SEO at scale: multi location Google Business Profile management, citations, and review programs.
• Technical depth: crawling and indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data, migrations, and site architecture.
• Content operations leadership: you have run editorial calendars, production pipelines, and quality standards at volume.
• Channel P&L or budget ownership, and proven experience building and managing teams.
• Preferred Experience in a marketing organization that drives leads for an inside sales team. Home services and/or local services category experience.
• Hands‑on fluency with tools such as Ahrefs, BrightEdge, Screaming Frog, and AEO visibility platforms such as Profound.
• Experience pairing SEO with CRO to convert organic traffic into leads.
