Job summary

Aquatech International seeks a strategic Director/Senior Director of Commercial Engineering to lead the development and execution of a scalable global commercial engineering organization.

This highly visible role will establish global standards, governance structures, risk management practices, and operating principles that support sustainable growth and align North American resources with Mobile Water and BOO businesses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• At least 12 years of progressive engineering or commercial leadership experience.
• Experience leading engineering or commercial orgs in industrial or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong understanding of proposal development, risk management, and business operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the long-term vision for Aquatech's global commercial engineering organization.
• Define scalable operating models, governance structures, and organizational frameworks to support future growth.
• Partner with executive leadership to align commercial engineering capabilities with strategic business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational effectiveness, and commercial competitiveness.
• Lead organizational transformation initiatives that enhance consistency, efficiency, and execution across regions.
• Establish and maintain global commercial engineering standards, processes, and best practices.
• Create standardized methodologies for technical evaluations, solution development, proposal generation, and commercial reviews.
• Implement KPIs and continuous improvement programs to drive organizational effectiveness.
• Promote engineering excellence, accountability, innovation, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
• Ensure alignment between regional teams and global business objectives.
• Establish global proposal development standards and governance processes.
• Develop risk assessment frameworks addressing technical, commercial, contractual, operational, and execution risks.
• Lead bid/no-bid governance and proposal review processes.
• Improve proposal quality, consistency, and win probability through disciplined review and approval procedures.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Operations, and Project Execution teams on balanced risk management.

Strategic Leadership & Organizational Development

• Partner with operations leaders to maximize asset performance and recurring revenue opportunities.

• Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to drive consistent execution and customer success.
