Cellanome is seeking a Director of Segment Marketing & Market Development to architect and build market-building efforts. This role prioritizes segments, defines evidence to move buyers from curiosity to conviction, and creates scientific and commercial content to close the gap.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 15+ years related experience with a Bachelor’s, or 12+ years with a Master’s, or a PhD with 8+ years.
• Deep fluency in immunology, neurobiology, immune-oncology, functional screening, cell biology, single-cell genomics, and/or functional cell assays.
• Demonstrated ability to build a market narrative from scratch: segment thesis, proof point architecture, and content stack.
• Exceptional scientific communication skills, with the ability to produce content that working biologists read and trust.
• Track record of driving cross-functional alignment without direct authority: getting Scientific Affairs, Sales, and Product moving in the same direction on shared evidence and narrative priorities.
• Experience producing senior-quality output independently, without a large team or agency infrastructure to rely on.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain segment narratives and market thesis.
• Lead presence buildout in key application areas in close partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Drive high-authority content creation for skeptical scientific audiences.
• Collaborate with Marketing on content optimization and launches.
• Identify and support KOLs and early access placements to build credible proof points.
• Develop and maintain sales enablement materials and qualification criteria.
• Synthesize market intelligence into actionable inputs for Sales, Product, and leadership.
