Job summary

AMD is seeking an experienced security technology leader in Austin to define and drive the enterprise security technology strategy, identify gaps, evaluate emerging technologies, and deliver scalable solutions that strengthen the organization's security posture.

The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution, building custom capabilities, automation, AI-enabled tooling, and integrations to align security with business goals; collaboration with architecture, defense, and IT teams

Qualifications

• Experience leading security engineering programs or enterprise security initiatives.
• Ability to design and implement custom security solutions and automation.
• Strong background in security analytics, data pipelines, and AI-enabled tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the enterprise security technology strategy and roadmap.
• Evaluate and improve security capabilities for coverage, efficiency, and resilience.
• Drive technology selection, integration, and optimization across security systems.
• Design and develop custom security solutions, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Establish build-versus-buy strategies and lead implementations.
• Lead AI initiatives to enhance security operations and analytics.
• Establish security controls, governance, and practices for AI and agentic systems.
• Collaborate with security architecture, cyber defense, IT, and GRC teams.
• Translate complex concepts into actionable leadership insights.
