Job summary

YMCA of Rock River Valley, Inc. is seeking a School-Age Program Director to organize and deliver Before/After School and Adventure Camp programs, supervising School-Age Area Coordinators and staff. You will ensure program quality for members and the wider community.

The role emphasizes developing people, strengthening programs, and creating opportunities for youth and families to thrive, with responsibilities spanning site visits, coaching, staffing oversight, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years related leadership experience in childcare.
• Ability to manage staff and oversee multiple programs.

Responsibilities

• Visit program sites, connect with staff, ensure programs are safe, engaging, and high quality.
• Lead and develop your team by coaching staff, facilitating trainings, and providing feedback.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, curriculum implementation, and daily operations across locations.
• Build relationships with families, schools, and community partners to strengthen collaboration.
• Monitor enrollment, identify opportunities to expand services, and improve program quality.
• Oversee budgets, staff certifications, registrations, billing, inventory, and compliance.
