Job summary

Grainger Frictionless is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Operations to oversee the Santa Ana production operation and define scalable manufacturing models for future growth. This onsite role partners with engineering, supply chain, finance, and HR to drive performance and long‑term capacity planning.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of senior leadership in manufacturing, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and a proven track record of transforming operations while building

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior manufacturing or operations leadership experience.
• Experience leading managers and other people leaders within a production environment.
• Demonstrated success in improving productivity, quality, and cost in manufacturing.
• Experience designing, improving, or scaling production systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of production execution, planning, quality, maintenance, and operational readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement across productivity, quality, throughput, and cost.
• Design scalable production systems and labor models aligned with demand.
• Build metrics, rhythms, and management processes to ensure executional excellence.
