Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Director, SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Lead to join our Advisory Services practice in the United States. You will define the enterprise data migration strategy and roadmap, govern data migrations across S/4HANA, ECC, and related platforms, and advise C-suite leaders on risk, readiness, and business value.

You will build and lead global teams of migration architects and analysts, oversee program economics and governance, and ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in enterprise data management with SAP data migration programs.
• Experience with S/4HANA, ECC, MDG, and related SAP platforms.
• Proven track record in executive-level stakeholder management and sales enablement.

KPMG is currently seeking a Director, SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Lead to join our Advisory Services practice.

Responsibilities:

• Define and own the enterprise SAP data migration strategy, roadmap, and governance, aligning activities with overall SAP transformation objectives and business outcomes.Design enterprise migration architectures supporting SAP S/4HANA, ECC, MDG, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, IBP, and related SAP platforms.
• Advise executive leadership on migration risks and readiness, serving as the trusted C-suite advisor (CDO, CIO, CFO) on enterprise data modernization and S/4HANA migration strategies.
• Establish and govern enterprise migration architectures and methodologies for SAP S/4HANA, ECC, MDG, and related platforms, including patterns for master, transactional, and historical data. Evaluate and govern migration tools such as SAP Data Services; SAP Migration Cockpit; Syniti; Informatica; Advanced ETL and cloud integration platforms
• Originate and drive large-scale consulting sales pursuits, leading RFP responses, client pitches, and proposal development across diverse industry sectors. Provide executive delivery governance and oversight across concurrent SAP transformation engagements, managing program economics, risk management, and overall profitability.
• Build and lead global teams of Data Migration Architects, Data Leads, and Analysts, while fostering a high-performing and inclusive culture.
• Ensure data migration activities are compliant with regulations such as SOX, GDPR, and HIPAA, where applicable.
• Collaborate with executive business stakeholders to define critical data requirements, drive ownership of data quality, and translate technical decisions into business value.
• Apply an AI-first, value driven mindset to identify, evaluate, and responsibly apply AI-enabled solutions that can enhance client outcomes, business performance, and operational effectiveness. Leverage foundational AI concepts while upholding KPMG Trusted AI principles to drive ethical, secure, and compliant adoption across business processes and solutions.
• Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s values and foster a respectful, courteous, and ethical work environment.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 12 years of enterprise data management experience, with at least 8-10 years leading large-scale SAP data migration programs and recent consulting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university required; Master’s degree is preferred.
• Multiple full-cycle SAP implementation experiences, including S/4HANA Greenfield, Brownfield conversions, and ERP consolidations or divestitures.
• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA, ECC, SAP Data Services, SAP Migration Cockpit, and the SAP Activate methodology.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding business development and sales targets within a top-tier management consulting or professional services firm.
• Proven ability in executive-level stakeholder management, global team leadership, and steering committee governance. Excellent business acumen and strategic thinking with an established background in leading and coaching cross-functional consulting practices.
• Strong technical foundation in Data Architecture, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality Management, and ETL/ELT Design.
• Ability to travel as needed.
