Job summary

Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital in Utah is seeking a Director of Risk Management to lead the hospital's risk program and serve as the Facility Compliance Officer. The role focuses on safeguarding assets, coordinating loss-control efforts, and advising senior management on minimizing exposure.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years (4–6 preferred) in risk management in psychiatric settings and strong knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and Utah standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 3–5 years risk management experience in an acute psychiatric setting required.
• 5–8 years risk management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, Utah State Standards and related laws/regulations.
• Knowledge of quality management and performance improvement principles.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• The Director of Risk Management also serves as the Facility Compliance Officer (FCO).
• Main responsibility is to protect the hospital's assets from loss.
• Coordinate the loss control efforts and advise management on potential sources of loss; make recommendations to minimize exposure.
• Ensure compliance with guidelines and standards of TJC, CMS, Utah standards and UHS policies.
• The FCO ensures hospital compliance with the UHS Code of Conduct and Compliance Program policies.

Your goals and objectives include:

• The Director of Risk Management also serves as the Facility Compliance Officer (FCO)

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree REQUIRED, Master's degree preferred.
• Three (3) - five (5) years risk management experience in an acute psychiatric setting required, five (5) - (8) years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of (The JOINT COMMISSION, CMS, Utah State Standards) and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
• Knowledge of quality management principles, performance improvement planning techniques, and goal setting.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass thorough pre-employment background check and drug test.
