Job summary

Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital is seeking a Director of Risk Management to lead the hospital's risk and compliance program on-site in Utah. This role reports to leadership and ensures protection of assets, regulatory adherence, and coordination of loss control efforts.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred) and 3–5 years of risk management in an acute psychiatric setting, with broader experience valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree REQUIRED; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years risk management experience in an acute psychiatric setting REQUIRED; 5-8 years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of JOINT COMMISSION, CMS, Utah State Standards and applicable laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of quality management principles, performance improvement planning techniques, and goal setting.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass pre-employment background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• The Director of Risk Management also serves as the Facility Compliance Officer (FCO).
• Main responsibility is to protect the hospital's assets from loss.
• Coordinate loss control efforts and advise management on potential sources of loss; make recommendations to minimize exposure.
• Ensure compliance with UHS Code of Conduct and Compliance Program policies.
• Support and participate in the hospital’s risk management program aligning with TJC and regulatory standards.

Your goals and objectives include:

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree REQUIRED, Master’s degree preferred.
• Three (3) - five (5) years risk management experience in an acute psychiatric setting required, five (5) - (8) years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of (The JOINT COMMISSION, CMS, Utah State Standards) and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
• Knowledge of quality management principles, performance improvement planning techniques, and goal setting.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass thorough pre-employment background check and drug test
