Sam’s Club Member Access Platform (MAP) is the nexus of the Supplier -Marketer- Merchant partnership and are responsible for delivering our suppliers (advertisers) impactful omnichannel member experiences that are married with measurable insights. MAP’s Director, Revenue Operations will lead an agile team of associates supporting revenue and billing operations for the advertising sales arm for Sam’s Club. As the leader of the Revenue Operations team, you will be responsible for partnering with Head of Sales managing the overall hygiene and accuracy of the pipeline and monthly forecast submissions. You will be the primary bridge between MAP and our Finance partners. You will be responsible for producing MAP’s weekly business update in collaboration with MAP’s Head of Sales and Head of MAP Strategy that is provided executive leadership team.

In this role you will provide thought leadership on innovative ways the Revenue Operations team can provide more insight and value for MAP beyond weekly business and sales updates. This includes identifying new ways to support.

Also, as the Director, Revenue Operations you will create a data-driven narrative to support AOP targets partnering with our GM, VP and Head of MAP Strategy. This includes partnering with the Director, Business Operations on workforce and annual SG&A budget planning alongside our enterprise cross-functional partners in Finance and Human Resources.

This means you will be responsible for MAP’s entire billing operations process working across Sales, Suppliers, and enterprise xfn teams – Finance, Accounting, Controllership, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, drive, and enhance ongoing reporting efforts of sales performance data and business metrics. Specifically, you will be partnering with Head of Sales on the pipeline hygiene and achieving high fidelity as to relates to forecast accuracy.
  • Oversee MAP’s end-to-end Billing operations for on-time and accurate invoicing.
  • Validate and deliver Quarterly SIP (sales incentive plan) reporting to Total Rewards. This includes advising VP/GM, and HR re: SIP exception requests.
  • Collaborate with the MAP Finance team on monthly forecast, AOP development, ad hoc analyses requested
  • Establish high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in revenue planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting approaches.
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team on defining data needs and continuous improvements and enhancements to dashboards needed to support the financial reporting and insights needs of the business.
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced dynamic environment delivering high quality output under tight timelines is a must.
  • Support effective change management and own the roll out of process improvements and related documentation, training, and reporting. Create meaningful feedback loops to evaluate effectiveness of initiatives and support future iterations.
  • Lead through influence, providing strategic guidance and effecting change outside of lane in the interest of bettering the overall organization
  • Convert data to make it analysis-ready by compiling data from multiple sources and presenting it in a digestible and actionable format.
  • Ability to dive deep to find answers with actionable outcomes and/or solutions leveraging strong data extraction skills to curate insights through analyzing historic data, variances, and trends, and to identify and mitigate gaps/risks/impact and uncover opportunities.
  • Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover opportunities and provide written recommendations.
  • Communicate data clearly and concisely, adjusting your style for different audiences to address complex finance issues effectively. Your communication influences critical business decisions.
  • Ability to dive deep to find answers with actionable outcomes and/or solutions leveraging strong data extraction skills to curate insights through analyzing historic data, variances, and trends, and to identify and mitigate gaps/risks/impact and uncover opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 7 years in Revenue Ops/Finance or comparable field in highly matrixed organization.
  • Minimum of 5 years people management experience preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years working with Sales and exhibits a commercial mindset understanding the needs/pain points of Sales.
  • Experience working with Sales or with commercial business stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate with impact and influence both verbally and written across diverse audience within a highly matrixed organization
  • A fundamental understanding on what motivates sales organizations to perform.
  • A fundamental understanding of how metrics can be used to track and improve the performance of sales teams.
  • A creative problem solver – willing to look at old problems in new ways.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance required.
  • Experience with CRM, OMS, and or other forecasting or BI tools.
  • Digital advertising experience preferred
