We are on a mission to grow Second Nature Brands from $500MM to $1+B in the next 3 years through a combination of organic growth and M&A. We have an opening due to the addition of a new role, Director, Revenue Growth Management, reporting to the Vice President of Commercial Strategy and Sales Operations. The Director, Revenue Growth Management will be an important member of the Customer Management team in our fast-paced, high growth and customer-centric environment. This role can be remote or based at our office in Oak Brook Terrace, Illinois.
Position Summary
The Director, Revenue Growth Management (RGM) will be responsible for building, developing, and managing the RGM Team, providing the strategic, financial, and business acumen to deliver against business objectives for volume and revenue growth, trade investment and performance metrics.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring department identifies insights, identifies opportunities, creates tools and processes, and delivers analytically based recommendations that improve increased investment productivity and drive profitable growth.
- Lead the RGM team to optimize profits through evaluation of growth opportunities, product mix & in-market pricing. Drive sustainable net sales and profit growth through strategic planning and execution of the Company’s price and promotions.
- Set a vision, priorities, and direction for the team. Ensure strong engagement with cross-functional partners. Create a continuous improvement environment where the team is empowered to make enhancements to processes.
- Partner with sales and FP&A to ensure spending is managed within budget parameters. Conduct monthly spending review meetings with sales teams. Support the development of corrective actions as needed.
- Create relevant metrics related to trade performance and pricing performance. Develop reporting and create visibility around key metrics and communicate through the organization.
- Provide DSMP analysis for trade guardrails that create alignment between spending and key corporate strategies. Establish ROI and margin requirement recommendations for trade promotion events.
- Drive pricing and trade investment strategies from concept to implementation. Collaborate with Category Sales Planning to deliver optimized sales, profit, and customer segment penetration across product categories and channels.
- Perform industry research on latest pricing techniques/trends.
- Oversee competitive price data acquisition and maintenance.
- Understand cost structures and profitability drivers for the overall business, relevant classes of trade, and specific customer deals.
- Lead enhancement of current system and tools including trade promotion management system.
- Build organizational capabilities by improving how the organization utilizes trade management systems, identify trade optimization opportunities, and standardize ROI reporting.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- 12-15 years of experience in analytical roles to include category management, finance, sales, or marketing.
- Revenue Management / Analytics Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods.
- A thought leader who will influence the transformation of the pricing strategy as a key lever of revenue management.
- Strong focus in process management, experience in process improvement projects preferred.
- Strong proficiency in leading forecasting and planning in a consumer and customer-oriented environment.
- Strategic thought leadership – a big-picture view while executing functional requirements.
